Charlie Msusa
A Certified Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Regulation Specialist, Mr Charlie Msusa is skilled in project management, PPP/Privatisation transactions, utility regulation (including multi-sector regulation), performance monitoring and enforcement of PPP/Privatisation deals and the development of policy reforms in the utility sector. He has proven hands-on-experience in strategic planning and restructuring of water services sector, PPP project design and implementation and implementation of multi-sector regulatory strategies. Before joining the PPP Commission, he worked in an urban water utility where he was responsible for planning and implementing a number of infrastructure expansion (both upstream and downstream) projects for the utility.
Currently, he is responsible for advising and guiding Ministries and Contracting Authorities on selection, development and implementation of PPP projects. Mr. Msusa has successfully finalised a number of PPP/Privatisation transactions in the agriculture, banking, insurance, and transport sectors, among others. He also conducts PPP capacity building sessions.
Mr. Msusa holds an MBA (Wales, UK), a B.Sc Engineering (UNIMA, Malawi), a Diploma in Environmental Management (Galilee, Israel) and a Certificate in Leadership (Graduate School of Business, UCT).
